Welcome New Desert Mountain Owners

Terra Waldron

Dear Homeowners,

Congratulations on the purchase of your new property in Desert Mountain, and welcome to the community!

Desert Mountain is an 8,800-acre property consisting of 33 different villages. As a property owner, you automatically become a member of the Master Association and your Village Association. The community is governed by the Articles of Incorporation, CC&Rs (Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions), and the by-laws. The Desert Mountain Homeowners Association is managed by CCMC, which is contracted to operate the day-to-day affairs of the Association. The HOA is located in the Fairways Building located at 10550 E. Desert Hills Drive.

Our office is in the same building as the Club Operations. While our two entities work together on a number of initiatives, we are separate organizations with two separate boards and responsibilities. We like to refer to our partnership as Two Organizations, One Community, both working for the benefit of homeowners and club members.

The Desert Mountain HOA represents the interests of all Desert Mountain property owners through the work of the Board of Directors and its professional staff. The role of the Board of Directors is to guide and formulate policy, to make decisions in the best interests of the community, and to manage strategic planning for Desert Mountain's future. The Board of Directors is comprised of nine Desert Mountain property owners elected by their fellow owners to serve three-year terms; the Association's professional staff implements the decisions the Board makes.

Desert Mountain's Board of Directors and staff rely heavily on input and participation of individual members through an extensive network of committees and an advisory group known as the Council of Presidents, which is comprised of the presidents of the eight individual incorporated village associations and the twenty unincorporated village representatives.

Please take some time to carefully read through the information provided within the information packet linked below. If you have any questions, please call our office or feel free to stop by the office. Our office hours are Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. We would be happy to meet you and answer any questions you may have about the Association or your Village Association. Again, we welcome you and are thrilled that you have chosen Desert Mountain as your new home or home away from home!

In this welcome packet, you'll find information to help get you acquainted with the community and the Homeowners Association.
