Leaves: Stems are reddish-purple, and the leaves, while green in moist conditions, may also be purplish, either just along the edges or all over.
Flower Color: Red, scarlet or yellowish bracts; flowers greenish.

Comments: It is partially parasitic on the roots of other plants.
